Tram to the North Shore

Tram to the North Shore
Tram to the North Shore

A scene from the late 1950's at a time when trams still ran from Platforms 1 & 2 at Sydney's Wynyard station, across the Harbour Bridge to North Shore destinations. Trams ceased to operate in Sydney in February 1961 and the trams' trackbed on the eastern side of the bridge was replaced by a further carriageway for road vehicles
