In collaboration with well-known aviation photographers Sam Chui and David Morrell, I am currently working on a series of paintings that illustrate the colourful nature of present-day commercial aviation. The imaginative use of liveries on aircraft has burgeoned in recent years resulting in a kaleidoscope of special schemes representing everything from notable events and locations to ethnic and cultural origins, in some cases even providing billboard space for major corporations.

Whilst photographers like Sam and David have been busy capturing these schemes, it seems that few have been translated into the traditional artistic format of paint on canvas. It is intended that this current series of paintings will remedy this shortcoming.
