My
present aviation art activity has developed from a fascination
with transport going back as far as I can remember.
My first real experience of civil aviation dates back
to around 1960 and visiting London Heathrow airport
while on holiday in Surrey. Those were the days of Boeing
707's, Vickers Viscounts and Sud Aviation Caravelles.
From that day forward I was hooked on aviation but it
took another fifteen years for me to actually paint
an aircraft: A Lufthansa DC10 as I recall. I then took
to photographing aircraft at every available opportunity
and still do up to the present day. However with my
return to painting in the last few years it was logical
it combine my aviation interest with my painting and
this has led to the present series of pictures as displayed
on this page.
